Counselling Appointments and Fees

 

Initial Assessment Consultation

I practise in Shrewton from Monday to Wednesday and in Stockbridge, Hampshire, on Thursday and Friday. Stockbridge is  not my primary practice and availability depends on demand but  generally between 10:30 and 17.00. Please contact me for further details.

 

Session Structure

I usually recommend an initial block of six sessions, followed by a review in week six. The number and frequency of sessions can be mutually agreed, considering individual needs and personal finances.

Where possible, sessions are held on the same day and at the same time each week or fortnight to support continuity.

Our work together will be reviewed regularly to monitor progress. I encourage clients to share their thoughts and preferences throughout the process, so that counselling remains a collaborative journey.

Counselling is tailored to each client’s needs, with their wellbeing and best interests at the centre of the work. My practice is guided by the core values of trust and integrity.

 

Short-Term, Long-Term and Maintenance Sessions

I offer both short-term and long-term counselling. For long-term counselling, the frequency of sessions is mutually agreed to suit the client’s needs and financial circumstances.

Monthly maintenance sessions are available for clients who are concluding long-term counselling. These sessions support the transition towards independent management and can help clients adjust to ending regular counselling, focus on their goals, and manage change at their own pace.

 

Booking and Fees

Please book appointments directly with Kathy before making any payment.

Separate or joint assessments/introductory sessions for couples are optional. If a couple requires individual sessions before beginning couples counselling, the fee is £60 per individual session or £60 for a joint assessment session.

• Individual counselling, 50 minutes, face-to-face, online, or by phone: £60

• Couples counselling, 50 minutes, face-to-face or online: £75

• Clinical reports required for third parties: £50

 

Parking and Discounts

Free parking is available at both practices.

Discounted rates are available for emergency services staff, military personnel, and care workers. Please ask for further details when making your enquiry.

 

Cancellation Policy

• More than 48 hours’ notice: no charge.

• 24 to 48 hours’ notice, including non-attendance: 50% of the session fee is payable.

• Less than 24 hours’ notice: the full session fee is payable.

Please be aware of this contractual understanding before making cancellations. Terms and conditions apply and are non-negotiable.

 

Payment

Payment is required 48 hours before the appointment to secure the booking. If payment has not been received, the session cannot go ahead.

Card or bank transfer payments preferred. Cash by mutual agreement.
